「金枝」是人類學的名著；祭司與先知以黃金樹枝賄賂守門人，潛入冥府歷險。導演王榮裕以這個神話的名字，作為劇團的名號，搬演台語音樂劇，帶領觀眾去冒險。

金枝演社，創立於1993年春天。秉持「從土地長出來的文化最感人」理念，作品以獨特的台戲美學為國內僅見，不但開創「台灣原生」音樂歌舞劇，獲雲門舞集創辦人林懷民盛讚「開啟台語音樂劇的時代」！更走出劇場，多部結合歷史及古蹟場域的大型創作展演，開啟台灣經典「史詩環境劇場」，深獲國內外重要肯定，是當代極具台灣文化美學特色的現代劇團。

2009年起，金枝啟動【金枝走演．美麗台灣】全台巡演計畫，以行腳精神將劇團優質作品免費送到每個鄉鎮，與各地民眾共創戲棚下的幸福記憶，期許將藝術種子撒遍台灣每個角落。

1997年迄今，金枝不但每年皆被文化部遴選為重點扶植的優良演藝團隊，更是全台唯一連續三屆榮獲國藝會「表演藝術追求卓越」專案獎助殊榮的表演團隊。2015年獲教育部「推展本土語言傑出貢獻獎」。

台灣知名劇團─金枝演社的庶民經典歌舞喜劇。以60年代台灣為背景，融合歌中劇、音樂、舞蹈、演歌…等豐富表演元素，蔚為澎湃的寶島劇作。

全劇以「寶島曼波」的歡樂歌舞開場，離鄉十五年的浮浪貢阿才，在高雄港邊見證了幸福先生與美滿小姐歡樂真情的港口愛情之後，想起故鄉溫暖的記憶，迫不及待的趕回老家探望妹妹玉蘭。

為了彌補離家多年的歉疚，阿才使盡渾身解數要讓妹妹快樂。見到賣菜郎清水暗戀玉蘭三年，彼此有意卻不敢開口，阿才於是自作聰明要替妹妹鑑定心上人是否真心，卻讓眾人陷入哭笑不得的混亂情境，引發一連串爆笑感人的溫馨幸福喜劇。

以濃濃台味的華麗歌舞，交織多首雋永經典老歌，《小卒變英雄》不但為老中青觀眾傳遞穿越時空的溫暖記憶，更讓全場觀眾在笑聲掌聲不斷當中，擁抱笑中帶淚的溫暖幸福。

 

Golden Bough Theatre

“Golden Bough” is a masterpiece of anthropology. Priests and prophets used golden boughs to bribe the gatekeepers to sneak into the underworld. Having named the troupe after that mythical item, Director Wang Rong-yu sets out to lead the audience into adventures.

Founded in 1993, Golden Bough Theatre upholds the concept of “The most touching is the culture springing from native land”. The troupe’s works connect theatre arts with land and culture. With unique Taiwanese drama aesthetics that is only seen in Taiwan, the modern troupe embodies the aesthetics of contemporary Taiwanese culture.

In addition to starting native Taiwanese musicals, Golden Bough was also praised by Lin Hwai-min, founder of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, who said Golden Bough “initiated the musical era of Taiwan!” With a unique artistic conception of space aesthetics, the troupe launched the classic “Environmental Epic Theatre” series in Taiwan, which gained significant recognition from at home and abroad.

In 2009, Golden Bough Theatre launched its Golden Bough Formosa Tour taking their ideals on the road performing in many towns for free, sharing the beauty of Taiwanese drama with locals and sowing the seeds of art across the country. Since 1997, Golden Bough has been selected every year as Outstanding Performing Troupes receiving Government Supports by the Ministry of Culture. Golden Bough is also the only performing troupe in Taiwan to win three consecutive National Culture and Arts Foundation’s “The Pursuit of Excellence in Performing Arts” award.

Set in Taiwan in the 1960s, The “Zero to Hero” is a comedy that mixes music, dance, and Enka. The story of A-Tsai, who returns to his hometown after a fifteen-year absence, intervenes in a series of chaotic events that result in a string of tragic yet comical moments. Telling the life stories of a group of “nobodies” along with classic, ever lasting old songs, the audience is transported into a pure, happy, and warm reminiscence during each performance.
