莊碩嘉，優秀青壯世代陶藝家，第一屆臺灣青年陶藝獎得主。作品深得國內專家一致賞識及肯定。

其陶瓷創作風貌多元，涵蘊中西文化之精髓，兼顧傳統與創新，作品於凝靜中透顯謙柔光暈。卓越的技術根基，是從大師指間承襲的態度，一寸一寸，滿載對細節的考究。從作品的色彩、造型、情感或精神上，可見他對藝術表達之拿捏取捨，總能尋得最佳且調協的對應關係。

莊嘉碩的陶瓷藝術少年有成，今已步入另一嶄新層次，為後繼者提供更為充裕的知識和養分。在面對快轉變化的新時代，莊碩嘉仍力求初心，持續為臺灣陶藝注入活水能量。為2013年第一屆臺灣青年陶藝獎得主、2014年第七屆臺灣金陶獎佳作、2017年南投縣玉山美術獎入選工藝類。

Chuang Shou-Chia

Already an excellent ceramic artist, Chuang Shou-Chia is the winner of the 1st Taiwanese Young Pottery Artist Award, and his works have also won him much praise and recognition from within Taiwan’s ceramic art fraternity.

Chuang’s ceramic work displays diversified forms, which blends the essence of Chinese and Western culture, and balances tradition with innovation, exuding a tender glow through the humble, harmonious tranquility it embodies. Mentored by great masters, the artist possesses remarkable skills and inherits his teachers’ artistry to perfect every little detail. From the color, shape, feeling or spirit of his sculptures, one can perceive his mastery of artistic expression that enables him to achieve the most ideal and balanced relationship.

Chuang has achieved fame in ceramic art at a young age, and now he can even mentor and nurture younger artists with his ample experience. Amidst rapidly changing times, he steadfastly continues to focus on his pursuit of art while continuously introducing new creative energies into Taiwan’s ceramic art scene. Chuang was also awarded the 1st Taiwan Young Pottery Artist Award in 2013, the 7th Taiwan Golden Ceramics Award in 2014; and his work was also selected for competition into the Yushan Fine Arts Awards hosted by Nantou County in 2017.
